EEFIG was established in 2013 by the European Commission Directorate-General for Energy and the UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) to accelerate private financing for energy efficiency. The group plays a key role in shaping investment strategies for energy efficiency projects, focusing on the European Green Deal and the EU Recovery Plan frameworks. EEIP contributes to discussions that help mobilise capital towards sustainable and energy-efficient solutions across industries.
SEIF facilitates dialogue between financial institutions, public authorities, and stakeholders to increase investment in sustainable energy at both EU and national levels.
