The EEIP Project Office is dedicated to driving the green transition through EU-funded initiatives that focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. Established as the project arm of EEIP, we excel in managing, communicating, and enhancing the impact of collaborative projects across Europe.

In line with the European Green Deal and the climate, energy, transport and taxation policies fit for reducing net greenhouse gas emissions by at least 55% by 2030, EEIP primarily supports the EU in the following thematic areas.

Energy Efficiency Technologies & Services
Upgrading to modern, efficient equipment accelerates progress, cutting costs, enhancing energy security, and delivering fast, cost-effective CO₂ reductions—making energy efficiency the “first fuel” in clean transitions.
Smart Cities & Buildings
Smart Cities and Buildings play a crucial role in creating more efficient and sustainable urban environments, enabling smarter resource management and enhancing quality of life. Stakeholders across multiple sectors collaborate to integrate intelligent technologies, optimise energy use, and develop innovative solutions for future-ready communities.
Circular Economy and Industrial Symbiosis
Circular Economy and Industrial Symbiosis are key to achieve more sustainable and integrated systems, identifying business opportunities that leverage underutilised resources. Stakeholders in related sectors collaborate to reuse residues, use by-products properly, and find innovative ways to optimise inputs.
Policy and Regulation
The EU aims to be climate-neutral by 2050 – an economy with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions. This objective is at the heart of the European Green Deal, and is a legally binding target thanks to the European Climate Law.
Finance & Digitalisation
Finance plays a pivotal role in enabling the green transition by directing investments toward sustainable initiatives, fostering innovation, and supporting the shift to a low-carbon economy.

Established in 2011, EEIP is a global industrial energy transition platform that connects industries, policymakers, and experts. As a recognized partner of the European Union, EEIP plays a pivotal role in shaping policy, driving innovation, and disseminating knowledge to accelerate the adoption of energy-efficient and sustainable practices in the industrial sector. Our mission is to create a collaborative environment where knowledge sharing and practical solutions lead to impactful change in energy efficiency, circularity, and green transitions.
