The EENOVA consortium met in Vilnius for a two-day working meeting focused on delivery, alignment, and the next phase of implementation. Hosted by AgriFood Lithuania DIH, the meeting brought together partners from across Europe to assess progress and prepare the launch of the third round of regional roundtables.

Advancing energy efficiency in regional food processing value chains
Discussions confirmed that EENOVA is firmly progressing towards its core objective: improving energy efficiency across regional food processing value chains through a structured, cooperative approach. Partners reviewed achievements to date and validated that the analytical and preparatory work carried out in the regions now provides a solid basis for implementation-oriented activities.
From planning to delivery: EENOVA enters the implementation phase
From EEIP’s perspective, the Vilnius meeting marked a clear transition from planning to execution. Reporting sessions showed that the main methodological building blocks are in place, allowing the consortium to shift its focus towards concrete delivery, stakeholder engagement, and solution uptake at company and value chain level.
Launch of the third EENOVA roundtables across European regions
A central outcome of the meeting was the confirmation that the third round of EENOVA roundtables is ready to be launched. These roundtables are a core instrument of the project, bringing together companies, value chain actors, and regional stakeholders to jointly address energy efficiency challenges that cannot be solved in isolation.
How the EENOVA roundtable methodology drives real impact
The consortium revisited the EENOVA methodology, which is built around a sequential roundtable process. Each roundtable has a distinct role and builds on the previous one. Initial rounds focus on awareness raising and identifying shared challenges, while later rounds narrow down priorities and viable solutions. The third roundtables are a critical step, as they bridge analysis and action, translating identified opportunities into realistic pathways for implementation.
Aligning partners and regions to scale energy efficiency solutions
Beyond the roundtables, the Vilnius meeting enabled alignment across regions on key horizontal issues, including data consistency, comparability of results, and coordination between work packages. This alignment is essential to ensure that lessons learned in one region can be transferred and scaled to others.
EEIP’s role in communication and dissemination within EENOVA
As leader of the communication and dissemination work package, EEIP used the meeting to align partners on messaging and visibility. Ensuring that regional experiences, challenges, and results are communicated clearly to industry stakeholders, policymakers, and the wider energy efficiency community remains a priority as the project moves into its most tangible phase.
What’s next for EENOVA after the Vilnius meeting
The Vilnius consortium meeting confirmed that EENOVA is on track and entering a decisive stage. With the third round of roundtables ready to begin, the project is moving from diagnosis to delivery, demonstrating how coordinated action at value chain level can unlock energy efficiency improvements that individual companies struggle to achieve on their own.
