We are thrilled to announce that the EEIP Project Office has joined forces with the SUPER-i and SUPERSHINE projects, two initiatives focused on enhancing energy efficiency and sustainability in the social housing sector. This collaboration underscores our commitment to promoting sustainable urban development and improving living conditions in social housing communities.
About SUPER-i and SUPERSHINE
The SUPER-i project aims to generate substantial investments in energy efficiency within the social housing sector by establishing direct dialogue between financial institutions, private investors, social housing managers, and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs). The project also focuses on collecting relevant data on energy efficiency investments to develop efficient financial schemes.
SUPERSHINE complements this effort by implementing comprehensive renovations in lighthouse districts located in Riga (Latvia), Herning Municipality (Denmark), and Trieste (Italy). These renovations embrace principles of resource efficiency, circularity, renewable energy, modular construction, smart living, and eco-design.
Project Objectives and Key Figures
Together, SUPER-i and SUPERSHINE aim to:
- Enhance Energy Efficiency: Implement energy-saving measures in social housing to reduce consumption and lower costs for residents.
- Promote Sustainable Urban Development: Transform selected districts into models of sustainability through comprehensive renovations.
- Foster Collaboration: Bring together stakeholders from various sectors to develop and implement effective energy efficiency strategies.
These initiatives are funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe research and innovation programmes.
