From Activities to Impact: EEIP at the IS2H4C General Assembly

Can strong project results shape Europe’s industrial transition if they remain fragmented or unseen?

This question guided EEIP’s contribution to the 5th IS2H4C General Assembly, held on 24–25 February 2026 at Industriepark Höchst and hosted by Infraserv.

Now at midterm, the project is entering a more demanding phase. Beyond technology deployment and modelling, the focus is shifting towards integration, alignment and impact across the four Hubs for Circularity in the Netherlands, Germany, Spain and Türkiye.

A Working Assembly Focused on Implementation

The General Assembly combined presentations with interactive workshops, where many work packages addressed open challenges and co-developed next steps.

Key discussions included:

  • Integration and demonstration of technologies in real industrial contexts
  • Development of governance and social innovation frameworks
  • Refinement of business and financial models for hub synergies
  • Modelling trust as a factor in cooperation and investment
  • Advancing digital tools such as the Digital Collaboration Platform and Digital Twins
  • Addressing AI and environmental ethics

Across these sessions, one message became clear: achieving circular industry at scale requires coordination across technical, economic and societal dimensions.

From Project Activities to EU-Level Visibility

As lead of WP8, EEIP contributed by facilitating a dedicated workshop on communication and dissemination, focusing on how project activities translate into European-level visibility.

The session examined how different layers of communication, from hub-level actions to project-wide narratives and EU outreach, need to be aligned to create real impact. A central point was the role of individual contributions. Each partner activity feeds into the collective visibility and positioning of IS2H4C.

The discussion moved beyond tools and channels. It focused on structuring communication as an integral part of project delivery.

Why Communication Matters

In projects of this scale, communication is not a parallel activity. It is what connects results to relevance.

Without clear visibility, even strong technical progress risks remaining isolated. Effective communication ensures that lessons learned, tested solutions and emerging models can inform wider European discussions and support replication in other regions.

Building this connection requires consistency, coordination and a shared understanding across partners.

Looking Ahead

At midterm, IS2H4C is progressing in the right direction, with increasing depth across all work areas. The next phase will focus on consolidation, integration and preparing the ground for scalability.

EEIP will continue to support this process by strengthening communication structures and ensuring that project outcomes reach the audiences that can turn them into broader impact.

We thank Infraserv for hosting the General Assembly and all partners for the constructive and forward-looking exchange.
